The net historical total of the value of all the money, property, and past services that have been contributed to the corporation in return for shares it has issued. Each corporation must keep a record of the stated capital for each class and series of shares. Some transactions involving shares, such as redemptions, require an adjustment of stated capital for the class of share affected. CBCA, s. 26.
