Augustus M. Richardson

Augustus M. Richardson, Q.C., is a member of the Ontario (1984) and the Nova Scotia (1990) bars. After almost twenty years practice as a civil litigator he commenced his own practice centred in Halifax as a full time mediator and arbitrator. More recently, he has launched an arbitration/ mediation service — ADR Private Court — designed to increase access to justice by providing people and businesses with an alternative to the public court system. He also currently serves as a vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board, a part-time member of the Public Service Labour Relations Board, and an adjudicator of the Small Claims Court of Nova Scotia.
