Gregory J. Inwood
Dr. Greg Inwood is a professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). He completed a PhD in political science at the University of Toronto, and he holds an MA in political science and an Honours BA in history, both from the University of Western Ontario. His teaching and research interests include the political economy of Canadian-American relations, Canadian federalism and intergovernmental relations, and public administration. He is a past winner of the Canadian Political Science Association Donald Smiley Prize for Continentalizing Canada: The Politics and Legacy of the Macdonald Royal Commission (University of Toronto Press, 2005), for “the best book published in English or in French in a field relating to the study of government and politics in Canada.” He has published books and articles on commission of inquiry, Canadian federalism, and Canadian public administration. He is also the author of one of the leading textbooks in the field of Canadian public administration, Understanding Canadian Public Administration: An Introduction to Theory and Practice, 5th ed (University of Toronto Press, 2025).
