To promote a better understanding of the law in relation to cycling, Nicole LaViolette and Craig Forcese are hosting a panel presentation on January 29 at the University of Ottawa, focusing on the “Kanata Five Crash”.

This very serious 2009 incident involved a collision between a motor vehicle and five cyclists, and culminated in both criminal and civil proceedings against the driver. Panelists include the lawyers involved in the criminal and civil cases and one of the cyclists injured in the incident.
