A permanent injunction given in a constitutional setting to require a government or administrative agency to take action to ensure constitutional compliance will be called a mandatory or “reparative” injunction. Where the court is engaged in ongoing supervision or ongoing revision of the terms of the order, it will be called a “structural injunction.”
